Despite the economic and social challenges in the first half of 2020, we’re seeing a number of factors that look promising for Showplace Cabinetry and the US cabinet industry. The national housing market continues to be strong, with both remodeling and new home construction on track for another positive growth year. The cabinet industry is also making headway against the dumping of cheap Chinese cabinets in the US—a trend that promises higher quality and a level economic playing field for our industry.
With these factors to kick off the year, Showplace experienced a strong first quarter. We’re beating economic trends from last year and looking forward to making 2020 another year of growth, thanks to the confidence of informed, discerning cabinet consumers and knowledgeable, professional dealers.
We’re coming off a year when Showplace made major product improvements, strengthening our cabinet box, making our products even more consumer-friendly and enhancing our commitment to great design and innovative colors and finishes. The reaction from our Showplace dealers and from cabinet customers throughout North America confirms our decision to upgrade our cabinetry.
We’ve worked with our dealers to place new Showplace displays in showrooms across the continent, enabling consumers to see for themselves the design and the durability of Showplace cabinetry. These displays give dealers the opportunity to illustrate the customization available with Showplace.
We’re also using a new marketing message that emphasizes the unique way that Showplace cabinets can be customized to fit the needs of every home while remaining one of the most affordable cabinetry lines available today. It’s important that consumers know that Showplace is unique in being “Your affordable, custom-fit place.” We believe that connection between customization and affordability drives our company forward and makes us the best choice for today’s cabinet shopper.
