2 Cashew Islands
The homeowners aimed to expand their kitchen for entertainment purposes while retaining space for a small table. Initial plans were hindered by the garage doorway’s impact on flow, leading to the concept of incorporating two islands. One smaller island optimized for daily prep, while a larger island with seating served as a focal point for gatherings and festive baking sessions. The layout included a command center housing a concealed junk drawer and charging station behind a door lift appliance garage.
The popular Heron Plume paint brightens the perimeter, while the inviting Cashew stain on maple adds warmth and accentuates the islands, bar, and range hood. Smithfield by Cambria, a bright countertop, sustained the fresh ambiance. The cohesive design was unified by natural stone geometric tiles, merging cool and warm tones to harmonize the entire kitchen space.
