Day to Day Comfort

The homeowners wanted to increase the size of their kitchen and create clean open space for family gatherings and day to day comfort using rich wood colors and contrasting gray paint.

A challenge to the design was that they wanted a very open feel with large windows and open wall space. So a large portion of their storage space would need to be in base cabinets in order to achieve this. They also wanted to be able to seat six people at a casual island.

Using the Aria door style with stained cherry island and painted Dovetail perimeter, the kitchen was designed to have a modern feel with a very large island in order to give them the storage space and the seating that they required. Open shelves were incorporated on the window wall to maintain the open theme.

This kitchen was the first place winner in the Non-Paint category of our 2021 Design Contest.
