A Fresh Start Kitchen
This kitchen was created out of necessity, but designed with intention and care. After the homeowners lost their entire home to a fire, they rebuilt with a desire to honor the traditional Cape-style architecture while introducing something more interesting and personal in the kitchen.
The clean, flat slab door style brought the modern edge the homeowner was looking for, while still fitting comfortably within the home’s classic roots. Warm Montana stain on the perimeter cabinets paired beautifully with the stained island (discontinued stain), creating contrast and depth in the open-concept space. Persa granite ties both wood tones together seamlessly, grounding the design with natural movement and warmth.
Textured subway tile adds subtle visual interest, while the slightly more traditional hardware softens the modern cabinetry—resulting in a transitional kitchen that feels timeless, welcoming, and thoughtfully rebuilt for a new beginning.
