Cranbury Kitchen
Located in the historic downtown area of Cranbury, NJ, this kitchen renovation took place in a home more than 180 years old. The goal was to introduce modern functionality with updated appliances and improved storage, while preserving the character and charm that make the home so special.
During demolition, original brick walls were uncovered and quickly became a defining feature of the space. Though unplanned, the exposed brick was embraced and left intact at the homeowner’s request, adding authentic texture and a direct connection to the home’s history. Green painted cabinetry in Sherwin-Williams Forestwood (SW 7730) with a matte finish complements the brick beautifully, enhancing the historic aesthetic while keeping the kitchen feeling fresh and intentional.
The finished space strikes a thoughtful balance between past and present, honoring the home’s legacy while supporting modern-day living.
