A Nod to Desert History
What was once an untouched lot in the heart of downtown Phoenix’s Roosevelt neighborhood has transformed into a stunning modern Spanish-style home, thoughtfully designed to honor its historic surroundings. The design team took inspiration from the area’s rich architectural character, crafting a white stucco exterior accented by expansive black-grid windows. The home’s second story gracefully steps back, meeting historic preservation requirements while creating a serene terrace space with sweeping sunrise views.
Inside, the kitchen serves as the heart of the home. Though compact, it makes a bold impression with warm straight grain red oak cabinetry and a striking porcelain slab backsplash. Natural light pours in through a large skylight and a 12′ bifold door, which seamlessly connects the kitchen to the outdoor patio, creating a light-filled, inviting space perfect for desert living.
