Double Island Delight
This kitchen transformation was all about creating a space that truly works for a busy family, and makes room for baking, gathering, and everyday life. The outdated layout was completely reimagined into an open, functional design centered around a standout feature: double islands. One is dedicated to prep, while the other invites conversation, casual meals, and connection.
The “mountain modern” aesthetic blends natural walnut cabinetry with crisp white finishes, striking a balance between warmth and simplicity. Panel-ready appliances keep the look seamless and uncluttered, allowing the materials and craftsmanship to take center stage. Thoughtful details—like a hidden coffee cabinet with pocket doors and a convenient pot filler—add both function and a touch of everyday luxury.
Challenges like tight clearances and lower ceilings were met with smart, on-site solutions, including layout adjustments and clean sightlines without overhead lighting. Custom storage throughout ensures everything has its place, making the space as practical as it is beautiful.
The result is a kitchen that doesn’t just look stunning—it supports how this family lives, cooks, and gathers every day.
