Gilded Green Gem
This vintage-inspired kitchen renovation beautifully merges timeless charm with modern function, thoughtfully designed to complement the character of a Cape Cod–style home.
From the very first conversation, the homeowners brought a clear and confident vision: a rich, vintage green palette to define the heart of the space. That vision came to life through a flush-inset Pendleton door style finished in Evergreen Fog, creating cabinetry that feels both classic and refreshingly current.
To enhance everyday living, a central island was introduced, adding essential storage, expanded workspace, and improved flow throughout the kitchen. New windows were carefully positioned to bring in abundant natural light while visually connecting the interior to the backyard, strengthening the home’s sense of openness.
Thoughtful detailing elevates the entire design. A farmhouse sink introduces authentic period character, lighted glass cabinetry adds depth and display opportunity, and a concealed mixer station tucked behind the pantry keeps work surfaces clean and uncluttered.
The finishing layer of gold hardware, lighting, and plumbing fixtures adds warmth and a subtle touch of elegance, tying the entire space together.
The result is a finely crafted kitchen that feels nostalgic yet tailored for contemporary living, honoring the home’s architectural roots while elevating everyday function. This transformation showcases the craftsmanship and design versatility of Showplace Cabinetry.
