Lively Gatherings and Game Nights

In this 1930s home, the neglected basement was transformed into a lively bar and game room. The goal was to create a fun and functional space while working around structural challenges like a concrete step in the floor, HVAC soffits, and load-bearing walls. The design embraced the home’s original features, incorporating quartersawn white oak cabinets with a weathered finish on hickory wood and Tawny stain. Open shelves, wine storage in an awkward niche, dual-height seating, and a built-in bench cater to the homeowners’ various needs. Distressed wood and beer keg tops add to the pub-like atmosphere, making it the perfect spot for gatherings and game nights.
