Open Space, Happy Place
This kitchen remodel was all about honoring what made the home special, and making it even better.
With soaring vaulted ceilings, clerestory windows, and breathtaking mountain views, the goal was to preserve the home’s original architectural essence while enhancing how the space functions day to day. The result is a kitchen that feels open, connected, and completely in tune with its surroundings.
A custom green paint color was chosen to reflect the natural landscape just beyond the windows, bringing a sense of calm and continuity indoors. Quarter sawn white oak cabinetry adds warmth and subtle texture, perfectly complementing the homeowners’ custom dining table for a cohesive, collected look.
To support modern living, the layout was opened up while still maximizing storage. Lower cabinetry was carefully optimized, and smart storage solutions were incorporated throughout to keep everything organized without disrupting the clean, airy feel.
One of the more intricate challenges was seamlessly blending new elements with the existing flooring, working with limited tile resources to achieve a unified finish. The result is a space that feels intentional and effortless, as if it has always been this way.
This kitchen doesn’t compete with its surroundings; it celebrates them. Light-filled, functional, and deeply connected to nature, it’s a space designed to be lived in and loved.
