Warm and Wide Open
This kitchen was designed with one clear vision in mind: a casual, rustic space centered around warmth, wood, and connection to the outdoors.
The homeowner loves working at the island while taking in the surrounding landscape, so the layout was designed to make the island both the functional and visual heart of the room. With a clear sightline outward, it’s the perfect place for meal prep, conversation, and quiet morning coffee.
The star of the space is Pampas Rustic Hickory cabinetry. Its natural grain variation, knots, and organic character bring authenticity and texture to the design. The rustic wood tones are balanced by lighter countertops and a soft green tile backsplash, creating a space that feels grounded yet fresh.
A darker island base adds depth and contrast, anchoring the room while still complementing the warmth of the perimeter cabinetry. Simple hardware and clean lines keep the rustic aesthetic feeling casual rather than heavy.
The result is a kitchen that feels welcoming, relaxed, and deeply connected to its surroundings; a beautiful blend of natural materials and everyday functionality.
