Northwood Lake Home
This project was all about turning obstacles into opportunities. With multiple angled walls, an uneven floor, an existing heating trunk line, and a former catch-all room off the kitchen, the space came with plenty of challenges. The goal was clear, though: create a kitchen that truly checked every box for the homeowners.
The final design balances function and flow by defining a separate cook space that still feels connected to the social areas—perfect for entertaining without feeling isolated. Thoughtful additions like a dedicated coffee bar and two hidden pantries ensure the space stays organized and clutter-free, while maximizing every inch of what was once underutilized square footage.
Careful planning allowed the layout issues to disappear, leaving behind a kitchen that feels intuitive, welcoming, and highly functional. The pairing of whitewashed ceilings, tiled walls, and thoughtfully selected Showplace Cabinetry finishes brings warmth and cohesion to the space, enhancing sightlines and creating a polished, intentional look.
The homeowners are thrilled with how the space functions and flows, and the transformation proves that even the most complex spaces can become beautifully effortless.
