Green is the New Black
The objective for this project was to create a seamless flow within the home by removing the dining room wall, thereby merging it with the kitchen to form one expansive space. The former dining area has been repurposed into a cozy sitting area, as the family now opts to dine at the island. To enhance functionality and aesthetic appeal, two existing closets in the former dining room were transformed into a wine refrigerator wall, serving as a focal point in the new sitting area.
Both the wine wall and the appliance wall boast a custom dark green cabinet color, “Green Black” by Sherwin-Williams, adding depth and cohesion to the kitchen space. Formerly a long hallway wall, the brick openings have been enlarged to maintain functionality while simultaneously opening up the layout, fostering a sense of connectivity and openness throughout.
