The homeowners are busy professionals, empty nesters with 3 young adult children. The couple loves to entertain and the family likes to cook together, especially holiday baking. The design aesthetic of this open plan condo is warm modern with straight lines and mostly muted colors to allow the couple’s art collection to shine. The couple dislikes clutter, preferring all kitchen items to be stored away.
Although the kitchen space was large enough (just over 200 square feet), the cabinets were dated and the overall design was not working for this family. In addition, the look and feel of the kitchen didn’t match the taste of the couple. They wanted a muted cabinet color, but not white, and a streamlined simple door style. The perfect choice was the Showplace Milan slab door in the color Graphite. The result is warm, modern and sophisticated.
