Blissfully Blue

This dual-purpose main floor bath, serving as a college son’s primary bath and the home’s powder room, underwent a remarkable transformation. The homeowner, disliking the visibility of shower toiletries and drains for her guests, sought to modernize the dated Tuscan space on a modest budget. Overcoming challenges, a tiled pony wall was strategically introduced to shield the shower, providing hidden storage and enhancing the overall charm. The stunning blue tile became the focal point, achieving the dual objectives of concealing toiletries and shielding the drain from the toilet’s view. Maintaining the existing layout minimized costs, and the addition of a beautiful frameless vanity maximizes storage. ShowplaceEVO cabinetry in Hickory with Rockport finish offers a warm/cool balance, while floating shelves provided functional storage and visual equilibrium. This project showcases the successful blend of practicality, aesthetics, and budget-conscious design. The result is a delightful space that not only meets but exceeds the owner’s objectives, ensuring a harmonious and efficient experience for both residents and guests.
